My passion in life – as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and mom of three – is taking care of kids.  Life with three young children is beautiful, and fulfilling and at times it is messy, hard, and chaotic. So, I also know first-hand that parents need support too! That’s where Mama Nurse comes in! 

Because kids don’t come with instructions, I am committed to sharing my professional training and my mama experience with caregivers, parents, grandparents, foster parents, people who are like parents, and anyone else who can use useful tips for everyday life with kids.

Inspiration for this website and blog are from friends and loved-ones – and the multitude of text messages and calls I get when they are in need of medical advice.  My patients have also inspired me to tell their stories – both those that have been tragic and wonderful outcomes, to help parents understand childhood safety and to keep their own children safe.  I want this website to serve as your go-to place for quick, simple and easy to understand medical advice and tips to keep your littles safe and healthy.
