Welcome to Mama Nurse! I am so glad you are here. Here is a little about me!
The idea for this blog was created for my passion in life – taking care of kids. My husband and I have 3 kids – ages 12, 9 and 6. I have the same concerns that you do. Mainly, how do we raise safe, healthy and happy kids?
More about me – I am a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, and have worked in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurosurgery throughout my career. From this experience across the country, I have seen everything – from runny noses to freak accidents, and everything in between.
I attended Columbia University School of Nursing in the City of New York to obtain my Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree, and have had vast experience living and working with kids in California, New York, Boston, and Minnesota.
All of the information comes from update Pediatric literature and well-reputed websites like KidsHealth.org. I hope to use the experiences I have learned to help you on your journey. Parenting is hard. I want to help make it just a little easier by providing evidence-based, practical tips for raising your kids.
It isn’t easy, but you got this!
