Easy and Safe 4th of July Activities for Kids

4th of July is the highlight of the summer! The weather is warm, and it’s a great day for some family fun.  I am not a super crafty person, and my boys could really care less about doing crafts. So, here are some super easy, fun, and safe 4th of July Activities for kids of all ages, that will keep them busy all day! 

1. Confetti Pop Rockets

2. Tie-Dye Shirts

Basically supermom has a great youtube video that explains how to easily make Tie-Dye Shirts.

3. Wacky Headbands

Kid Made Modern shows you how to make these adorable and totally easy headbands.  They can be as detailed or simple as you want. Wear them all day or for a fun 4th of July Parade!

4. Bike Parade

Gather some friends or neighbors and have a bike parade! 

Have your kids spruce up their bikes with 4th of July themed decorations. They can circle the block and wave to the cars and people passing by!  Don’t forget they need to wear a helmet so have them decorate their helmets, too!

5. Good 'ol fashioned Potato Sack Race

Kids of all ages (and adults!) will love these potato sack races.  So easy to use and fun for everyone!  (#affiliate)

 

6. Make Ice-Cream Sandwiches

Look at these ADORABLE Ice-Cream sandwiches from the36thavenue.com.  If you are short on time, or just don’t feel like baking because it’s too hot, you can skip the baking part and buy your favorite store-bought cookie instead!

8. Giant Tic-Tac Toe

Who doesn’t love a game of tic-tac-toe? This game will keep kids entertained for hours.  They can even make it harder by trying to throw the shape into the correct box. Adults love it, too! (#affiliate)

9. Star-Spangled Slime

My daughter is currently OBSESSED with all things slime. Here is a super fun idea for patriotic slime from Icanteachmychild.com

I think the slime also calls for these adorable patriotic fake sprinkles to add into the slime to make it an even more fun sensory experience! 

10. Easy to make bubble wands

I am a fan of making cute things you can actually use. I have enough kids art sitting around to last me a lifetime.
